Prima di tutto ci tengo a precisare che non mi ritengo un esperto Neo Geo, visto che però ho deciso di iniziare la collezione per NGCD allora mi sono informato.
I giochi con le AST dovrebbero essere tutti i Fatal Fury ad eccezione del primo, tutti i AoF ad eccezione del primo, tutti i KoF, tutti i SS, tutti i LB, tutti i World Heroes e Last Resort.
Di questi l'unico che ha caricamenti pressochè nulli dopo quello iniziale è WH1 (come detto i picchia piccchia ad incontri prestano il fianco ai caricamenti su NGCD).
Passando alla lista, non ho tutti i titoli che hai citato.
Posso dirti perchè ci ho giocato che SW2 ha caricamenti molto brevi e non mi sembra ci siano tagli, Magician Lord non ha caricamenti dopo quello iniziale e dovrebbe essere più facile, Gangan ha caricamenti fra ogni incontro, Sengoku 2 ha dei caricamenti molto brevi (nessun problema secondo me), Street Hoop ha caricamenti brevi, stesso dicasi per Windjammers.

Per quanto riguarda le tue ultime 2 domande, facendo mente locale mi sembra che i crediti siano infiniti in molti casi (ad esempio in SW2 sono infiniti ad eccezione dell'ultimo stage, mentre in Last Resort, Street Hoop, Windjammers, Magician Lord sono infiniti e basta).
I salvataggi vengono effettuati direttamente nella SRAM interna (2KB) quindi nessun bisogno di memory card (non penso neache esista per NGCD).
Lì puoi salvare la posizione in cui eri arrivato nel gioco (ad esempio in Last Resort puoi ripartire dall'ultimo stage che hai affrontato se avevi salvato nella rpecedente sessione) e non sono sicuro se puoi salvare anche i puntaggi.
Ovviamente se vuoi una lista completa dei giochi con caricamenti assenti dopo quello iniziale basta che controlli tutti i giochi non superiori ai 56Mb (RAM totale del NGCD):
