    A password is a series of characters to be entered to Log in. It may be long from 8 to 32 characters, with letters or numbers.

    How to have a good level of security:
    • Never use self-explanatory words
    • Use combinations of uppercase, lowercase, symbols and numbers
    • do not use keys close to each other on the keyboard
    • always use passwords of at least 10 characters
    • do not use the same password for different internet services
    • DO NOT share with ANYONE the password, even friends that you trust.
      The staff of ForumFree will not EVER ask the password to a user. If someone asks you for your password without proper justification, the fact must be reported immediately.

    Typical errors in the choice of password:
    • Your name
    • The name of the beloved
    • The year of birth
    • Your phone number
    • The license plate of the machine
    • The word "password"
    • A word written in reverse
    • The tax code
    • The name of your dog or cat

    Retrieve password
    If you lose it, when you login you can click on the link "Forgot your password? Click here!" red in the top left corner and wait for the email with your new password.
    When you make the recovery password, the new password (and the link to activate it) is sent to the email that the legitimate user has indicated. Therefore, only those who have access to email listed in the account can change the password.
    For this reason, it's good to have email with safe passwords and without questions and answers to remember the password.
    Sometimes you may receive email of password recovery that is not required, because someone mistakenly typed in your nickname during his recovery. As explained before, there is nothing to worry and just trashing the email.

    How to change it
    At any time any registered user can change the password with which he is registered to the forum.
    You must go to Control Panel -> Change Password.
    The process of changing passwords is very simple and is driven by several screens of the Forum and by the validation mail sent automatically to validate the request. You must be very careful in reading the mail that the forum will send during this process, because it contains essential informations to complete successfully the change password request.

    E-mail address associated with your account
    It is important that the email address associated with your account has a secure password: otherwise, it becomes easy to make a password recovery and illegally obtain access to an account.
    Some providers allow you to specify a security question. This practice is not recommended, because the question often allows direct access to the account, and it is easy to find the answer when it concerns personal facts that can be easily guessed or known.
    It is not advisable to associate the email of your Msn account to ForumFree, it would be better to use an address that is not disclosed.

    Section protected by a password
    You can protect a section with a password through the administrative tool Access restrictions.
    The users must know the password to enter the section. The visitors, however, can not even seek to gain access. After too many wrong attempts, the account is suspended.
