Registered users can use the Messenger of the forum to exchange messages. The Messenger is available through the Control Panel.
Send/Read Private Messages (PM)
To send new MP use "Send message" or "MP" button that is in all messages sent to the forum, and user profiles. The sending of an PM is very simple and is equivalent to the creation of a new thread, plus an additional field that should be filled with the name of the user you want to send the message. You can enter the name directly or "download" it from the Personal Address Book. There are also two new options:
Personal Address Book
The Personal Address Book can store the names of the users contacted more frequently to speed up the sending of messages. The Personal Address Book can also be used to "filter" that users that can/can not send messages.
Editing Folders
You can manage your folders by clicking on the link "Edit folders". From here you can create/delete/rename any folder. The deletion of a folder leads to immediate loss of all the private messages in the folder itself. If you do not want to lose the PM in the folder, you must first move them to another folder. The "system" folders InBox and Sent Items can not be deleted.
Saving/Archiving Private Messages
The forum has an advanced feature for saving your PM named "Archive Messages". You can select various criteria for filing (by folder, number, date, etc.). The messages will be stored in a single compiled file and sent as an attachment of your choice to the email address provided when you have registered on the forum. We recommend that you select the option for automatic deletion of archived messages from their folders in the process of archiving.
Finally, note that the total capacity of folders is limited to the maximum number of 50 personal messages. If you exceed the number of messages you will not receive new messages until you delete some of them.
